A Request for One More Day

To see the sadness caving in,
The darkness fresh
And growing thin,
Amidst the oranged apple blossoms
Growing in the twilight’s grin.
To see your face still floating up
Beyond the clouds
And red balloons,
Still glowing as it stiffens, tough.
And blowing at the pure white cuffs
And links in black with matching stuffs.
To see it all as days go by,
As autumn grows
And ages,
Bye.
As winter’s frozen over once
And life’s breath shows
It’s not yet won.
As spring stops near
And buried flesh
Arises to the very mir.
As summer rounds itself about
And brings back autumn
In a bout.
I’ll see the world turn coldly by
Without you there,
Never by my side.
