Imagined Greatness

A soft, lingered moment.
A hand holding mine.
A something I've needed
for years without rhyme.
A memory, wistful,
relived and refreshed
in now new surroundings
and hopes of new bliss.
A calmness uncertain,
described as above
because of the curtain
hidden in love.
A warmth and a happiness
shared in your smile,
I'm hoping you see it,
in hopes, for a while.
I'm hoping
and praying
and living as well
because of your moment
given in hell.
Because of your kindness.
Because of your all.
Because I imagine
the greatness and fall.
Because of these moments
I pray even more
that greatness imagined
does not match the fall.
