Untitled RIP

Meet conditions,
Lost and strayed
While walking forth
In drama's haze
That lacks itself
And dues all paid
Relaxes and calls
That written phrase.

The burning sun
Still streaming down,
And weather holds,
Nothing to frown.
Yet some strange reason,
Dispute all gone,
The feel for tears
Has not broke dawn.

Strolling 'cross the boulevard,
You see that one
Whose heart was found,
And smile to know it's pitied form
Holds place close in bosom's warmth.

So take it home and
Feed it nil
To watch it cry, stand,
And hold still.
While malice grows,
In place of warmth,
Though turns to sorrow
When guilt swarms.

Alas, awake,
Twas but a dream.
The creature lives
Exists, esteemed.
It sits just there,
Where left at night,
Preening feathers
Then it looks, so polite.

You reach out
Hand in place,
It steps 'bout,
But it stays
As you shudder and
Show it
The feared slant
Below it.
The thing follows away
Realizing no play.

But the window left open
Shows a sudden escape
From beloved new owner
Who now holds fear to take.
The wings stretched in hurry,
The flight taking place,
It leaves, not yet sorry
As it dawns on a race

Shortly ended by grief
When it's caught by the cold.
The dream now true for a thief
Of the class: White, furry, old.
The once pitied pet,
Too sad to be true,
Is now lost in a fret
To your enemy's stew,

While you're back
Where you started
The day before last.
No lovable creature
To share moments
Of past.
