total outrage
i wrote something this morning, and i decided to post it here, so if anyone reads it they could tell me what they think. so here it is:
As a slow wind passes, the blazing fire sweeps over the land. It burns down everything: trees, grass, and whatever is in its way, ending at a village. One survives. The fire calms down as the survivor looks around at the barren land. Nothing is left. Not a single tree will grow to old age. Not the windmill that children would climb on at the day's end. Not one home, where a family would live and grow. Not the one survivor, killed by a vicious return of a job incomplete.
so what do you think?
well, since this is so short, im gonna write a little more about this morning. recently two of my fellow art students, and I did an interview with the eastside messenger, and we eagerly waited for the article to come out. Well, its out now, and personally, im in an outrage. They messed up so much about the article that i took out a red pen and actually made corrections. but the thing that i'm most angry about is that they said i drew the koala! its not true, stavroula drew the koala, i made the tiger. Manas is my baby, and i spent so long and worked so hard painting him. The eastside messenger people are so underqualified, if I were the boss I'd so fire the guy who wrote the article.

we finally get to some poetry...even though I really wanted a short story.
it was apocalyptic. the world ends by fire? it seems sad and lonely for the one person to survive. almost makes a person wish the fire took them as well. it took my 15 sec to understand the "job incomplete"
sorry your work for the interview was so poorly done. I can understand your outrage but congrats on getting published.
