shrunken happiness
Less time here is spent,
Less hours betrayed,
Less knowledge,
and memories
include you
awake.
The further I go,
the more disappears,
I find myself wondering
how was this all real?
But past what I see,
The bit I remember,
it'll drive me still forth,
but your thoughts I can't feel.
And I stand here afraid -
one word is too much,
I'll say it all wrong,
and the rift will grow
ever up.
I'll make one mistake,
and the happiness
will shrink
from each touch.
